Exercise Demo

Planks build core stability and posture strength without fast impact. Keep a straight line from shoulders through heels and breathe steadily while holding position. Short, controlled holds are effective and beginner-friendly.

Location

Sign 5 is located at 1920 Fairmount Ave, along a local street that connects nearby residential areas to destinations like the Market at 25th. This stretch of Fairmount is part of how people move between where they live and where they get food, services, and other essentials.

Neighborhood History

Fairmount was originally a trolley car suburb developed from the 1890s to the 1920s, and was briefly incorporated as its own independent town in 1902 before being annexed by Richmond in 1906. One of the city's streetcar lines ran directly through the neighborhood, though it had closed by 1930.

Fall Line Trail Connection

WTFLT is not the Fall Line Trail. WTFLT is a separate neighborhood fitness program; the Fall Line Trail is the regional 43-mile paved multi-use trail. WTFLT strongly endorses the Fall Line Trail and encourages residents to pair local fitness stops with trail-based walking, biking, and exploration.
